Abstract:

Composites of CoFe2O4 and BaTiO3 were prepared using aconventional ceramic double  sintering process with varying compositions. The presence of both phases was confirmed by X-Ray diffraction. Variation of dielectric properties (dielectric constant and loss) with frequency range 1000 Hz to 5 MHz was studied. The ac conductivity was derived  from dielectric constant  ε′  and loss tangent (tan δ). The conduction phenomenon was explained on the basis of small polaron hopping model. The structural and morphological feature of these composites with varying compositions has been studied by scanning electron microscopy. The relationship between such properties, chemical composition and sintering temperatures are thoroughly discussed.
